What is Site Booth?
Site Booth is a free web host. To put it simply we allow you to upload web pages that you have designed or downloaded and we place it on the internet for you.

Is it really free?
Of course! You will never need to worry about a monthly fee ever! Site Booth is privately funded and it generates money from upgrades which allows us to proved free hosting for you.

What your privacy policy?
We will never give out any of your information to spam companies or people looking to buy your email. Anyone that approaches us asking for your info receives a big NO! Plain and simple.

I never got my confirmation email?
If you never got your confirmation email try checking your spam inbox. If it’s in there we suggest adding Site Booths email to your contacts list or removing us from your spam list to receive further account info. If you still didn’t get it wait and hour and sign up again using a different email address.

Can I put my own ads on my site?
Yes, but pornographic ads are prohibited.

Can my site get deleted?
Of course! If you abuse the system, spam or are otherwise doing shady things we reserve the right to delete your account. This is rare however, but does happen. If you aren’t taking part in anything bad you will be fine.

I need help / Support tickets!
Well lucky for you we offer a support ticket system located inside your control panel that’s open 24/7/235.

I need help with an upgrade?
If you purchased an upgrade please note that it could take up to 24-48 hours for us to activate your upgrade. Usually it’s much shorter but you never know. If you are having issues with your upgrade send us a support ticket with the title “Upgrade help” and set the priority to High and we will look at it swiftly. If you abuse the system once you get an upgrade we reserve the right to downgrade your account, you will receive and email.

How do I upload things to my website?
There are two easy ways to upload things to your website. You can either log into the control panel and go to file manager for a web based FTP (File Transfer Protocol) or read the FAQ below on ways to use software based FTP. FTP basically allows you to upload things from your computer onto your website. Use full if your using a programs called Dream weaver and want to upload your website or if you downloaded a template from a site and want to upload it quickly.

Can I use FTP with Site Booth?
Yes! We recommend using a program called SmartFTP, it’s free and powerful! Your FTP information is:
Host: username.sitebooth.
Username: Your username that you log into the control panel with.
Password: Your password that you log into the control panel with.
If you have any troubles send a support ticket in.

How do I install things using the “Application Installer?”
Click on the Application Installer in the control panel. When it asks for a target directory enter in where you want the application to be installed. For example enter in forum and choose phpBB to install phpBB under username.sitebooth.com/forum
*Note* Some applications need a MySQL database to work. We recommend creating one first and writing down the information and then creating an application so that you can easily enter in info in the application installation process. If you are still confused send us a support ticket!

Can I use Site Booth to host images and vids?
Please note that Site Booth is a web site host not a file host! If you came here just to upload images and videos your account will be found and may be removed. We have automated scripts that will locate your site.

Can I have multiple accounts?
Yes, you are permitted to have more then one account however you are limited to 3 accounts per person. Anymore then three and we reserve the right to delete all of them. If you wish to remove your account log into your control panel and click on the Account Settings link and scroll down to the bottom to delete your account.

What sites are not allowed?
The #1 thing that we do not allow is phishing, scam and spam sites. Phishing sites are ones that are created to look like a different site to gather info on your account. A good example of this would be a paypal.com look alike site that tries’s to steal your paypal log in info.
Other sites we do not allow:
Sites that are created mainly to host images, music or videos. We are not a file host!
Proxy sites.
Torrent scripts/trackers.
IRC Bots or chat rooms.
Porn Sites
Inactive sites. We have a script set up to remove inactive sites. If you don’t log in for 90 days or keep that default Account Set Up page on expect your site to be removed.

What’s phishing and can I do it?
We gave a little description above about what it is. It’s where you set up a site to gather peoples information by tricking them. Setting up a paypal or ebay like site in order to steal peoples account info is phishing. When we find your account phishing we will remove it and ban your IP from the server.

What’s MySQL and what limitations do I have?
MySQL is a commonly used database that many scripts use. Many forum and blog scripts use it. We give out one mysql database and one mysql username to every account. In order to set up your MySQL database log into your control panel and follow the instructions. Many of the applications require a database to be set up.
If you need help creating a database or usuing it with a script please send in a support ticket.

phpMyAdmin? What is that thing!?!?
Basically it’s a tool to help manage your MySQl database. We suggest using this only if you are an advanced user. We do not support phpMyAdmin so if you are trying to install a script and it requires you to use it, we suggest contacting the scripts support team.

Can I use my own domain?
Yes! If you registered a domain you can use it on Site Booth. A domain is something like mydomain.com. if you don’t have one you can search google for “domains” we recommend register a domain at godaddy.com
If you registered a domain all you need to do is edit the nameserver. Most domain registrars have help options if you are unsure of how to edit nameservers.

Once you get your domain use these nameservers:
ns1.sitebooth.com
and
ns2.sitebooth.com

Can I rate Site Booth or review you at other sites?
Yes! We really appreciate it when our member rate us at sites or give us a good review! Squeeze a little tid bit about Site Booth at a site if you can.

Do you back up my websites?
Nope, currently we do not back up your website for you. We suggest you personally back up your website and save it on to your computer in case something happens. This way you can just re upload your files.

What happens if I max out my bandwidth or space?
If you max out your space you just won’t be allowed to upload any more files. But if your account use’s up all of its bandwidth your account will be suspended for the time being until the next month starts. You can always purchase more space and bandwidth by going to the upgrade page. It’s the big red button on all pages.

Can I use parts of the Site Booth website for my own site?
No, all parts of the Site Booth website is for Site Booths website. Please do not copy or take any images or copy any parts of our website. It’s a copyright violation.
